Hi! My name is Katy Clark and I am a multiage teacher at the Primary, which means there are both kindergarten and 1st grade students in my class. I have been teaching multiage in Edwardsburg for the past 6 years and I love it here. I can’t wait to meet your children and to get to know them over the next couple of years. Multiage is a busy place and I think you’ll be amazed at the skills your child will learn in kindergarten and 1st grade, both academic and social.
Previously, I taught in South Bend, in PHM, and in Cincinnati, Ohio. Sandwiched between those teaching years, I stayed home with our 4 children for 19 years! My two oldest are Jenny and Matthew who now live in Granger and Chicago. My two youngest are Tommy, who’s a grad student at Western Michigan playing his last year of soccer there, and Molly, a senior at Notre Dame. I feel lucky to have her so close! I also have a darling little granddaughter Kenley who started kindergarten this year!
My husband and I have lived in South Bend/Granger since we were married, but we are from Ohio. When I’m not at school, I love to read, run, work in my yard, and kayak. We go to Maine every summer with all of our kids and lots of extended family.
I went to college at Miami University (in Ohio, not Fla.) Since then I have taken classes at many different places, including U. of Cincinnati, IUSB, and Bethel College.
