Hi! My name is Katy Clark and I am a multiage teacher at the Primary, which means there are both kindergarten and 1st grade students in my class. I have been teaching multiage in Edwardsburg for the past 5 years and I love it here. I can’t wait to meet your children and to get to know them over the next couple of years. Multiage is a busy place and I think you’ll be amazed at the skills your child will learn in kindergarten and 1st grade, both academic and social.
Previously, I taught in South Bend, in PHM, and in Cincinnati, Ohio. Sandwiched between those teaching years, I stayed home with our 4 children for 19 years! My two oldest are Jenny and Matthew who now live in Granger and Chicago. My two youngest are Tommy, who’s a senior at Western Michigan where he plays on the soccer team, and Molly, a junior at Notre Dame. I feel lucky to have her so close! I also have a darling little granddaughter Kenley who is already 4!
My husband and I had our 30th anniversary this summer and have lived in South Bend/Granger for all those years. When I’m not at school, I love to read, run and kayak, but not simultaneously! We go to Maine every summer with all of our kids and lots of extended family.
Originally I’m from Ohio, which is also where I went to college at Miami University. Since then I have taken classes at many different places, including U. of Cincinnati, IUSB, and Bethel College.
