Hello! My name is Grace Green and I am excited and honored to be teaching your child this year! I would like to share a little bit about me. This is my fourth year teaching at Edwardsburg Primary, but I have been teaching almost 22 years. I love watching all of the learning and growth that students achieve at this age level. Their excitement and zest for learning is contagious and refreshing!
I moved to this area four years ago and have made many friends. My husband's name is Mark and together we have three children. Prior to moving here, I lived and taught in a town in Michigan's thumb called North Branch. It was there that I taught middle school (6th, 7th, and 8th grade) English and Social Studies for 18.5 years. I was involved in many extra-curricular activities there, including coaching track, volleyball, grade-level advising, student council, and many more. Although I loved teaching there, I now consider myself an EDDIE!
As far as my own education, I did my undergrad work at the University of Michigan where I earned a BS in Elementary Education. I went on to get my Master's Degree in Teaching at Marygrove College in Detroit, Michigan. I have continued my learning with various classes to enhance my teaching and have earned an additional 24 credits beyond my Master's Degree. I love to learn new things and will always strive to instill the same love of learning in my students each year.
If you have any questions throughout the year or if I can help you in any way, please call me anytime! The Primary School phone number is: (269)-663-1037 and my extension is 4003. I am looking forward to seeing all of my previous students and getting to know all of my new students this year!
