Miss Smith
Hello! My name is Katherine Smith and I am super excited to be your child's teacher this year! This is my second year teaching at Edwardsburg Primary, but I have been teaching for a little over 3 years. I love watching how much growth Kindergarteners and 1st graders make in the time they are with me, their excitement and hunger for learning is amazing to witness!
I studied at Michigan State University (Go Green!) where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a focus in Integrated Sciences. I have continued my learning through a variety of classes to enhance my teaching and strive to take additional classes yearly. I love learning as much as I love teaching and I plan to inspire that same love for learning in your child as well!
I grew up in the Edwardsburg and the Michiana area for the majority of my life, so returning to Edwardburg after graduating and teaching for a year in Lansing, felt like coming back home. My family also resides here, so I love being close to them. I have one dog, who is a German Shepherd mix, and bright orange in color. Her name is Jasmine and I consider her my baby since I do not yet have children of my own!

Lunch: 11:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. Parents may visit.
