Memorial Day is a day off of school - don't forget if lessons are assigned for today you can skip or complete at a later date.
Thank you to those who have sent me pictures of your distance learning. Our yearly memory video is almost complete and I appreciate your help with showing off the end of this memorable year! This video will be sent out electronically once completed.
Information was emailed out about report cards and how distance learning participation will be marked. Please let me know if you have any questions.
A link was sent out this morning to some Eagle Lake transition resources. Look over these with your child to help prepare them for 2nd grade in their new building next year.
We only have a few weeks left - I know it's getting harder to focus for your child with summer vacation coming up and the warmer weather. Let them take school work breaks, play outside, break up work into smaller 20 minute intervals.
I'm here if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you families!
You all wear many hats: parent, employee, employer, spouse, grandparent, caretaker, friend, and now teacher. You are making sacrifices of your time and more to make sure your family is safe, healthy, and taken care of during this time of a new normal. Always remember you were your child's first teacher, and will be their teacher throughout their life. They will remember from our new normal right now the extra family time, games, staying up late to watch movies, sleeping in, redoing their bedroom, cooking together, family facetime or Zoom conversations. They will remember how you made them feel safe, happy, encouraged. I would not be able to do my job during this time without you. Thank YOU for all you are doing to support and encourage your child. You've got this!
